Greetings, All,
It's that time of year again.
The calendar on the BlastFromThePast Basement La-BOR-atory wall sez, "Time for the New Year annual write-up."
So here goes.
I don't have near as much to write about as I have had in previous years, as I must admit to being quite the slacker when it came to model rocketry activity:
No new rockets completed in 2024.
Zero. Zip. Nada.
Except for a couple of booster stages. This is not to say that I didn't do any building at all. I made good progress on several different builds, but did not see any of them through to completion before the year-clock ran out.
Launches: Twelve flights spread out over only two launch sessions.
Dismal....
I am at least happy to report that all twelve flights were highly successful with no CATOS, no crashes, and no models lost.
Bright spots in the year included the return to flying at the spacious field at Dove Valley Regional Park. Over the past year and a half, flying has been limited to smaller parks. This may have been somewhat of a factor in the dearth of flying sessions in 2024.
Another positive is the addition of a couple of new local rocketeers to our Front Range group. I think my launch annoucement mailing list is now increased to 17 individuals!
Anyway, that's about all there is to report, so I'll move on to the annual pics of the BlastFromThePast flight-ready fleet (Same models as last year - just arranged differently):
